Quick Sketch of Storm

One of the problems I get when I get a migraine is that my mind races and will not stop. The upside of that is that I tend to get very creative. The downside is I'm usually way too stove up to do much about it.

Last time it happened, it wasn't completely incapacitating. It just went on longer than normal. I had the urge to draw something, and for a change could see well enough to sit down and give it a shot.

I used to do sketches, but haven't done it something like twenty years. I'm out of practice and frankly, I think he looks a little too much like a chick.

But it was fun, and maybe I'll do another if the mood strikes.

By the way, I tried the Sinus Buster for Migraine stuff. Seems to work pretty well, it put a big dent in the migraine. It's like sucking napalm up your nose.

I kind of dug it.

I would say that the figure looks androgynous rather than feminine; I'm diggin' it in any case!

I've noticed that when I upload pics of my Swedish friends that my American friends often have to ask which ones are the men and which ones are the women. (hint: long hair usually means guy) Yes folks, gender really is a social construct! :-)

Thanks! Considering how long it's been since I've drawn anything, I'm reasonably happy with it. You're right. He doesn't really look female...just a bit androgynous...I can live with that.

You know I'm a long time SCAdian, so I'm so used to long hair on men it's a completely gender-neutral trait to me.

I knew a guy named, appropriately, Olaf. Olaf was Swedish, was about my size (which is to say about five and a half feet tall and slim) and had waist length, perfectly straight golden (really, it's the only way to describe the color) hair. He was pretty, clean shaven, and delicate. And he most assuredly did not look female in the least. Not even close.

He does look damn pretty, but I'm actually more intrigued by his silky looking hair. I'm sure once Fiona sees it, her hands will be delving into it and messing it up... a lot.

I always liked the long hair look, as long as the dude bathes! I never thought it looked particularly feminine, but it always made me think of something exotic, if that makes sense.

Thanks for sharing the drawing! I've been meaning to draw some fanart of FDM, but I feel like it's kinda hard to top Diego. We'll see! I look forward to reading more of your lovely story, anyhow, and I hope that your migraines leave you the hell alone.

I like hair on a man, too, usually. I mean, I guess it depends on the man, but male hair is not like female hair. No, indeedy. It's something else entirely.

It's awesome.

Not all guys can rock long hair, but the ones that can, ought to.

Aw, Anon, you don't have to top anyone to do any sort of art! Art is not better or worse than other art. Art just "is".

And it's awesome, too. ;-)
